cause it's a mustang clutch. my friends that drive their ricers all complain about my clutch when they get in and try pushing it down. lol you'll just build up serious left leg muscle. haha
and thats both of my mustangs, my friends 86, and my other friends 94 it's just the nature of a mustang clutch

mustang clutch= good left leg workout, and any other car is too weak for comfort.

yep, i can hardly stand driving any other std vehicle besides a mustang now. but if the thing is rediculiously hard to push in, then it may have been the cable binding, i had that happen in my 88 i knew what the thing was supposed to feel like and that was NOT it.... so on my way home one time it snapped when i went to shift to second and i had to speed shift in the rain.... that was not fun.... and then i got the new cable put in and the problem went away. hope the new cable works out for ya

i have an 89 gt and the clutch on it is real easy to push. it was hard to push in and then the cable broke i just thought one might have caused the other.

my money is on the guess that your cable was routed wrong, which would have caused unneccessary wear, and breakage, as well as binding, causing the hard to push in-ness

my clutch is stiff as hell, and i love it, i hate driving my friends cars, but i can do it because the mach has a hydraulic clutch, so im used to it
