are you talking about the old gt40's or the gt40 p's. the p's flow better so if you;re looking to get some old stock heads get the ones off explorers. as far as specs i'm not sure

as u see there is hardly a difference in the 2 gt 4o heads just a little more flow on the exhaust side thats why i would atleast open up the exhaust side a little and the bowls if i was u to get alll u can out of those heads or if your on a budget 1.7's but what cam are u thinking about?

man what are u doing with the car is it a daily driver or close to or strait out track/weekend warrior car?

as if its just a dd i would l would throw in a tfs 1 atleast if u are on a budget its a decent priced cam as its like 160 new or cheaper on ebay or?

and if its a track car i would look into something a little more aggressive.,something also to think about is if your using the stock block and pistons then u will have to watch ptv clearance for the cam and u wont be able to go to big without a custom cam and that will cost 300-400 bucks.also if u are upping the cam upgrading the valve springs in the heads is a must if your staying with the stock cam u'll be alright but still will want to check/replace the stock gt 40 springs.

im only going to be driving it about 3 days a week and hit the track twice a month so nothing to major plus it is just a budget build car so a tfs 1 sounds about right.
