An average driver who changes his oil every 3000 miles would proably not benefit much from a synthetic. I use a snythetic and also a filter with synthetic media but I havea OIC of 5000 miles.

Someone said earlier that all oils are the same prior to the additives... I disagree with that statement.. There are far too many base stocks available for all oils to even be close. I mean lets face it, there are some oils and oil filters that are just sorry.
