my 89 gt!!
well i have a 1989 mustang gt 5.0 and it has some problems that i cant figure out.... it has been sitting for about 3 years and ran fine for a little while. now it idles really rough when you put a load on it. it stalls when i stop.... when its in park or nutral it runs fine but still a little rough. reverse and drive the car dies.also when the aircondition is on, it is a lot worse.it also has a huge loss of power. when i go to get on it, it doesnt take off at all.. it gets up to speed but very slow so its scary getting on the freeway
when in park, it wont rev up past 3000rpms when i floor it, but if i ease it up there it can red line. i took it to the local shop and the mechanic said that 'its probably the cats' and so$300 later and it still runs like crap=/please help!!!

change out your fuel filter, flush out the system too. did you do a full tune up? like cap, rotor, plugs, wires, oil change? also check the timing and if the distributor has ever been out, check and make sure it's correct
mechanic said timing was good and im not sure about the distributor.....
