MPG depends on driving style and how aggressive the cam. A mild cam like an E303 or TrickFlow Stg-1 will probably knock 1-2mpg off, if that.Like Prime said, don't get one for sound. If you do get one, upgrade to some nice heads and intake manifold

my notch said lx on the trunk lid and the bigger the cam the further the valves open , hence more air entering = more fuel needed to be mixed with incoming air and a slight drop in mpg..........a cam should be selected based on build not sound...... you could have a lumpy ace cam in a car that performs worse than a smooth idling car...depends on the combo

I'm not going to choose one just for its sound, i want one that will offer the best qualities all around, but i do want to get one that will give my car a more aggressive sound. and thanks for all the input

well then what have you planned for heads and intake and other supporting mods like throttle body, and mass air meter and exhaust and gears??....all these will really make it perform like it was intended to and compliment one another

these other guys pretty much nailed it, don't bother with a cam unless you're doing heads and intake at the same time. Otherwise it's a waste of time, gas and could cost you power in the end.
