speed density or maf?

RE: speed density or maf?
Look at the hose running to the throttle body from the air filter. If it has a section with wiring running of it then it has been converted to MAF or came from from Cali. http://www.turborides.com/images/sec...g_tech/maf.jpg
It there is no section and it is a solid piece from filter to TB it is speed density.
It matters only as far as what you want to do with the car, for instance if you want it faster by adding larger injectors, heads, cam, etc then you need the MAF conversion to tune and adjust andcompensate for the changes from stock. SD is good for a stock engine, performance is mapped and applied to the engine by the ECU based on readings from the MAP, ACT, etc.
