Default fuel pump

i replaced it, and have replaced fuel pumps before but now when you first turn the key, koeo on my stock lx hatch it is super quiet not when it winds up probly the quietest ive ever heard on any mustang is that normal or defective pump?

Generally a stock size pump that's loud means it's worn. So quiet it better if it's a stock replacement. Some fuel pumps have a foam sleeve that comes with them to wrap around the pump to reduce noise even more.
