fron bumper cover swap.
ive got a 1990 lx, but i really love the four eyed cars. i know a guy that had a four eyed bumper layin around that i dont think hes using. Could i buy that off him and fit it on my car with little or no modification? or would that just be ridiculous? thanks.

oh and one more thing...your trim won't match either...if you were concerned with that then you'd have to find the appropriate year trim from a 4 eye car and swap the rear bumper cover to match trim also.

RE: fron bumper cover swap.
bumper
bumper cover
headlight bracket (usually rivetted to the bumper cover)
headlight pigtails (or you could use spade connectors)
hood
impact absorbers
The bumper cover wont go on if you try to use the four eye bumper with the 87-93 impact absorbers. The impact absorbers on the 87-93 are a little bit longer than the 79-86 style.
You don't have to use the 79-86 bumper, but the turn signals ARE part of the bumper, you can either rig something up or not run them. For my friends '91 car I did the swap on I ran the turn signals to be a part of the parking lights to where they would flash when the turn signal is turned on.
You'll need a different hood, 87-93 hoods are different than the 79-86 hoods.
Also, you'll have to take the fender extensions off of your fenders so it will look flush. the 87-93 style lx bumper cover is a little wider at the bottom than the 79-86, so ford used fender extensions instead of changing the fender.
If you like the four eye style cars then I'd say do the swap. You don't see too many four eye mustangs around anymore (at least I don't)
