7-Up Mustang I'm buying...Help!
Thanks for your time reading this.
Since signing up I have lost the 06, lost my house, and most importantly, the wife that took it all. She left me for someone else. I was left to buy a 1990 BMW because it was 2500 bucks, all I could afford.
I now have the deal of a lifetime before me, and I need help. A customer of mine has a 7-Up Mustang in very very near perfect condition. Oil changed at 3 months, even if it had only 200 miles on it type of guy. Never been in rain. Never parked outside over night. It has 75,001 miles on it, and looks new. I mean, absolutely excellent.
I have the chance to buy this car, I found out today, for a steal. $6,000 bucks. He said he always liked me, he's getting too old for it, and he knows I will care for it. It is stock as the day it came off the showroom floor.
I had a 90 GT, so I know the car, but what do I need to look out for? (Besides someone getting it before me tomorrow!) I have looked on eBay, and they appear to go much higher that what I am paying...Is this correct?
Now, the kicker. If I want to install a supercharger, can I take it off to sell the car and have it look like it was never there?
Thanks again for your time.

OUCH sounds like youve had a rough time... as for the car i would personally just look it over make sure everything is in order, drive it make sure nothing is out of whack, and i make sure it has records of everything been done in the past service, performance, anything...and i dont know what state you are in but a state inspection is always a must at least where im at. I got my vert for 5500 with more miles and not as good of shape as you are saying this one is...lets see some pictures..and for the supercharger, I know you can put a kenne bell on and take it off later and it would be like it was never there...i cant speak for centri blowers but im sure some other guys on here can let you know about that... good luck with whatever you do

Thanks for the reply, ws92. Don't worry about the pics, they will be up minutes after I get the keys!
As for driving it around first, that's tomorrow. This guy is **** as heck. Every oil change, everything is documented. He even has the pink slip in the banks safety deposit box. He won't sell it until HE PAYS to have the local Ford dealer check it over with me. I'm sure it's fine, but I wanted to know about any special problem areas it may have.
I plan on purchasing the car. I figure the price is excellent, just needed to make sure. I forgot to mention I had to sell my 65 Mustang (I've had since I was 18) as well to cover the divorce. Hell, I even had to give up my dog. I need some good luck. I need something nice and fun to drive. I work with my ex, family business, so driving something cool is a must.
Thanks again for your reply. I appreciate the good news you've given me!

Ah, but you see mjr, this is California. The man always loses. He. Always. Loses.
I got the shaft, but consider myself lucky. We dated for 6 years, married for 4 years and 10 months. Had we been married 2 more months, I would have had to pay her more, for a very long time.
Thanks for the reply. Don't get married in California. And hope to have pictures up Monday or Tuesday.
