What do You Think Of this Engine????????????
Need to hear some advice from some engine builders. Just want to here some opinions on this engine I thought it might be a good deal (CDN pricing). I would be puting a 60mm turbo kit on it and trying to limit it to 450-500hp. I have no experience with TFS high ports and dont have a clue about the cam. Would it be a very streetable cam? Anyways here s the add any opinion would be very appereciated.
For sale ; 5.0 L complete engine spec'd for a blower
The engine has about 950 km on it.
Aluminum Trick Flow High Port heads, DSS forged 1.600/4.030/ - 13 cc low compression inline pro series pistons. Custom grind cam from flowtech induction ( part # SC1934-HR112 )
lift 1.6 ratio , intake .5632", exhaust .5664" , lobe seperation 112 degrees. , Aluminum roller rockers 1.6 ratio, powerbond balancer, Ford Explorer upper and lower intake.
Comes with timing cover, chrome oil pan, billett aluminum distributor, spec clutch with almost new friction disc, new throw out bearing and resurfaced flywheel. About all you would need to hunt up is a water pump, pulleys, blockplate, fuel rails injectors and throttle body.
The engine made 247 HP and 267 Torque at the rear wheels through a t5 and 9 inch Ford rear end naturally aspirated. The heads alone cost about $1600 and there is no way you can build this engine for this price. Theenginewas fastnaturally aspirated, but would be a monster with boost.
$2500.00.

RE: What do You Think Of this Engine????????????
Its built for a blower. I talked to the guy and he said it didnt run to good N/a and his supercharger wouldnt fit in his engine bay (32 rod). So he pulled it and put in a stroker.
