One goes to the fuel pressure regulator, another goes to the vaccume pod thingys by the passenger firewall in the corner of the bay, another bigger one goes to the pvc valve in the back of the intake, the other bigger one goes to the vaccum tree on the firewall beside the map sensor. Hope this helps.

The Vacuum tree acts likeas Distribution Block.

So No you don't need the vacuum tree.

All you need is a vacuum source and a bunch of line running from it to all the different vacuum line locations.

just go get a tree from a junkyard, make things easier. that way you dont have to pull a crap load of lines when you pull your upper for anything
