WTF is going on...
I think I already know the answer but figured I would ask you guys.
The car ran fine 2 days ago. Went out today and adjusted the exhaust because it was hitting the upper control arms on the pass. side. Didn't move the car, mowed the yard, and noticed something hanging down. Went and looked and the drivers side tailpipe came off the muffler(crappy welds). So i figured hell, might as well cut the other one down and take it to the muffler shop tommorow and have turn downs put on.
Drove it around the block and at about 2500 it start backfiring a little bit and runs like garbage, no power from their up. I didn't take the rpms too high because I wasn't 100% sure what was going on.
Is it because I lost some back pressure by removing that? Will turn downs fix that or should I just have it ran to the back and dumped behind the bumper cover like it was originally? Something else I noticed was that it seemed to be running warmer than it normally does, but that might be a fluke because the temp gauge doesn't work properly I don't think.

RE: WTF is going on...
Removing your tailpipe shouldhave nothing to do with the motor running crappy. If that were the case, drag cars would have a full exhaust system. You may get some popping when de-celerating, but it should accelerate just fine. You have other issues.
