Default Idle Air Control-All Created Equal?

I am currently looking to replace a bad IAC on my 92 GT. Went to a boneyard and found plenty of 4 cylinder Stangs to rip on off of but was unsure if it would work on my five-o. Would this work??

It should. They are so easy to take off just take your old one with you so you can match it up.

Thats what I want to do, but I wasn't sure if getting the Ford replacement would be better.

They operate the exact same. As far as i'm aware there are only two types out of all the cars made. The stepper type (used on gm's) & the fast idle solenoid type (used on most (if not all) efi fords)
I believe the only difference is the plastic plug on the end of it. If i'm not mistaken the 2.3's plug comes straight off, the 5.0's has a 90 degree bend in it.

I believe the plug is the same, just at a different angle... Not sure if that makes sense... Basically it will work providing the plug will fit. (mine is broken off so I just have two wires on one of my cars)

I can check for you later.
