is my clutch toast??
I just put in a t-5 from a junker and it shifts well under normal driving, but if i power shift it will grind. I was also at a stop when i put it into reverse and it grinded a little bit. i tried to adjust the clutch through the pedal but it didn't click. So would a centerforce clutch be the best to be put in? This car is crazy fast. I got scaried driving it today,Havent ran in 1and a half months...

screw centerforce, mine was a POS. if you're running the t-5 tranny still aka the stock one, then get a HAYS clutch, that thing is the most bad a$$ clutch i've ever used. the only reason i pulled it is cause i killed my t-5 and got a tko for my fox, and then gave it to 86whitepony and he put my used clutch in his car and it still grabs like a SOB. but the grinding sounds more like you're gonna need a rebuild

either blocker ring friction surface is worn out or teeth on that syncro teeth on that gear pertaining to the grind are toast or both of the above are prob.. rebuild time

if you want a awesome clutch for a good price compared to centerfoces over priced clutches, go for the hays. it held up to my 331 stroker with eddy everything. the clutch transfered the torque so well it killed the stock tranny, haha the hays was not the weak link in my drive line. it's a way better price compared to alot of others and holds just as good if not better, my expericence with centerforce d/f was bad so i will NEVER buy another one
