Is there anything I can do besides the rear disc conversion thing? That seems pretty expensive and as I understand it most of the stopping power comes from the fronts anyway. I just want them to bite a little harder without breaking the bank. Are there special pads you can buy or something like that?

if you didnt already have a set of wheels I would have suggested a 5 lug swap with SN-95 spindles. and 99+gt front brakes.

Yeah I'd rather not do the 5-lug conversion. I was just hoping for something relatively cheap that will help slow this sucker down.

You can out svo front calipers on your car as well as performance rotors and pads. This will help as well as flushing your system

to keep on the cheap as ur asking, you could just throw on some hawk or ebc pads and make sure ur rear brakes are adjusted. i've only had experience with the ebc pads on my lil Focus daily driver and they seemed to make a pretty good difference. i went with their "Red Stuff" pads and they seem to have a pretty good bite to em. as far as adjusting the the rears, if they are adjusted properly they should have a nice/high pedal to have good initial bite. that is of course if the rest of your system is in good working condition

i got the summit package for $160

includes powerslot dimpled/slotted rotors and high performance pads

there is no difference under normal driving conditions but i took it on the highway and hit the brakes good and i almost hit the windshield lol
