Default carb size?

i decided to go ahead and buy my whole HCI setup sooner rather than later, the only part im unsure about is the carbim going to top it off with, im going with the edelbrock power package, i dont know if i should go with a 600 or 650 cfm carb

im worried that the 650 might be to much carb for my little 302.

proform 600 vacuum secondaries ftmfw. it will be most easily tunable carb for your setup. it may be a little more than the holleys and edlecrocks, but its SO SO SO worth it.

Stock carbs were 600cfm. I would stay with a vacumn secondary unless you have some converter/gears in it.......

if you are automatic I'd choose vaccum secondary but fora 5 spd car I'd go mechanical...my 85 was much more responsive with the mechanical secondary vs the edelbrock weighted secondary carb set up that was on there
