I had my 86 gt jacked up and was just looking over a few things and noticed a little bit of red colored gear oil leaking out where the dirve shaft enters rear of t-5 tranny. It was just a drop and im not to worried about it, just curious. Never seen a puddle under it before.

can not begear oil, has to be tranny fluid.might need a tail shaft seal if it gets worse!

could be a rear tailshaft seal leaking...best to do is inspect driveshaft yoke for any groove worn in it..if non exists check for play in the tailshaft bushing while driveshaft is still installed for any play= up and down movement....most likely it's a seal
