Default Bassani LT Help....

I have a 93 5.0 AOD and I'm installing a set of Bassani 1 5/8-1 3/4 long tubes. I just started and I'm having lots of difficulties installing the #4 header and the #8 header (back driver side (8) back passenger side (4)). On the number 4 tube, I cant clear the block, I'm hitting on the head bolt and the lip on the head where the bolt is. For the number 8 side, I can't clear the shaft. I tried going inside of it and around it and for some reason cant get it to clear. I have brand new mounts so the motor isnt sagging or anything. Can anyone offer any help or advice on getting this done. I've been going at it for an hour now and cant even get one pipe on. Any tips on getting this done?

Dan

Well, I got all the driver sides together but am still stuck on the number 4 on the passenger side (furtherest back passenger side) any suggestions?
and my #6 on my driver side is leaning on the steering shaft. maybe becasue I have a MM steering shaft and its thicker than the stocker?

can anyone offer some help here? the number 4 header (farthest back on passenger side) is hitting the frame and hitting on my k member (D&D tubular). It seems now that the only way to get the header to fit is to start banging on it. Anyone have any suggestions on ways to dent a header without destroying the coating on it? here are some pictures of the problems. Sorry about the third picture, its hard to make out because Im installing the header with the bag still on it so I don't destroy the coating. If you look hard enough you can make out the header inside the bag though, thats where its hitting on the k member.

First thing I did was call Bassani and I told him that my problems were and they simply replied "well, we have no secrets here so just go for it. It takes time". And that was it, lots of help right?

I'm calling AMP (thats where I bought them from) tomorrow and see if they can offer me any suggestions.

I'm starting to wish I went with my original plans of BBK shorties and a BBK midpipe lol.

yea bro im gonna be home you should stop by. im about to go work on it right now, i called AMP and they told me that I should start cutting on the k member, little scary but seems to be my only option left. I think im going to cut on the k member and than brace it back up somehow, not sure how but well see. Im going to try dropping the k member right now and see if i can get it in that way and if not, its time for the cut of tool [&:]

call me later

anyone have any other suggestions that i have not thought of?
