cold air noise

cold air noise

Ijust had installed a BBK cold air kit on my 1990 gt, when i give gas i hear a faint whistle noise, and when i am driving i can hear a hissing-like noise, is this hissing normal?

Since the air is more free flowing, that might be what you're hearing.

yup, normal. The metal pipe gives off more resonance than the rubber tube, so you will hear more.

but if you can hear your engine, over your exhaust.... you are doing something wrong

Ive heard of many people saying they heara whistling noise w/ the BBK's CAI's. Mine sound more like just air moving, that I can barely hear w/ radio A/c off....but itsMac CAI
