I dont know if this will help, but my friend had the same problem on his car. He had after market rims but the wrong lug nuts for the type of rim. Thats what the guys told him at the garage. He changed them and the problem stopped. Another thing they told him to do was rotate the rims to see if the problem follows just like stevesstangs said. Hope you can fix the problem

I agree with most everybody about the shimmy. Take it to a good tire shop and have them do the basics. Check the tires, balance, rims, etc.

But what is with this 1.8 guy. What's he doing here. I'm new here, but I'll be damned if I'm going to try to discourage someone by adding in some smart *** remark. Is he a plant? Does this make it more interesting? Damn right it does. If all he says is true, can you imagine what he paid to get into the 11's? He's got the only $75,000 1.8 in the world. I'm almost completely stock on my '93 5.0, and for less than 2 grand I'm in the mid 13's. For another 2 grand I'm in the elevens. This guy is a hose job. I hear there's a site for the "love bug". That's where he belongs.

We all know that, jbird. We're just having a little fun with him, too. I've got friends that drive chevys that like to help me on the 5.0, but I just let em watch. No sense taking chances.
