Default Exhaust wrap for headers

Anyone use it? Is it good/worth it?

Positives? Negatives?

Brand?

just get good headers, and have them either Jet-Hot coated, or buy them ceramic

i ran it on my sbc powered buickfor 5 years and never had any problems, seemed to keep the underhood temps down a bit and my plug wires lasted alot longer. i didnt buy actual header wrap, my friends dad worked at a factory and gave me a bundle of steam pipe wrap, worked like a charm.

Header wrap can cause dampness to stay in the wrap causing rust-out.
Most of the header compnies tell you that the warranty is void if wraps are used..........

its the light tan color, one box was opened, the other wasnt, the whole roll is there, the part that was cut off was enough for one tube, and its still there in the box.
each box is 2in by 50 ft. $50 for the two boxes.
