so i need to replace my serpentine belt and my smog pump is still on the car, just not hooked up, i will get around to taking it off one day, but for now can i just by pass hooking the belt up to it with a shorter belt?

if so does anyone know what size belt i will need, its a 94 5spd with ac

just take the pump off if its already disconected pull the whole alt/smog pump braket off with the 4 (i think) bolts that hold it on and cut theears of the braket that hold the pump off with a sawzall its aluminum so it cuts like butter just make sure you cut itright the first time you can always take more off but its not going to go back on very easy
