Default 347 Stroker Build ?'s

Ok Guys so i have a friend with a 347 Stroker kit he bought and never used all he knew to tell me was that it was a 347 with probe flat top pistons and he has the blok work done also but it needs nothed where or how do you notch a block ive never done a stroker also i have an uncle who has a set for Ford Racing GT40 Castings they need built still never bin ran would these heads be suficient enough to suport it and what kind of cam should i use if i do i also have a 750Demon mechanical secodarys on it so will the heads do the job and what size and type of cam and intake do yall recomend. Thanks any help will be apresheated

on a 347 you need at least a 185cc runner head..gt-40 heads = 302 parts.....and you need a good cam and all you need is a grinder to notch the piston skirt for rod bolt clearance

So i can do the block notching my self any way of measuring how deep?. so the GT-40 Heads wont work on it? or just will starve it to bad

ohh and the block is 30 or 40 over i iwll have to look at the paper work he has to find out for sure

the gt40's will work but won't let it breath like it should. and hopefully its only 30 over cause i hear anymore than that they loose strength.

im not srue on the over but ill find out but if i get the stuff im gonna have to go with the Gt-40's they are Ford Racing castings not explorer heads any idea on the cam?

.040 is fine!!! my 66 has a 302 that is .040 and it is fine..don't believe everything you read

yea i figured .40 would be ok my dad has a 79windsor he is building that is .60 over but it wont ever see any stress to speak of so any ideas on the camshaft?

There's a place on E-Bay named TMD in Riverside, ca. that sells a template for the grinding of a 302 block for the stroker kit........
