I have a 1984 mustang.... i'm about done with the 88 roller motor i bought and cleaned up, but i thought i'd go ahead and get a new clutch and throw out bearing while i have the stuff out.

Does centerforce make a clutch/clutch kit for my car?

On 50resto.com they only had them for 86 and up...

So if they don't what clutch would you recommend for an 84 mustang ?

I will be putting this on the 88 motor if that makes a difference.

has anyone ever heard of luk? or luke? however you spell it?? thats what i had put in my car... guy at the damn transmission shop told me he wouldnt do centerforce... if you live in the houston tx area DO NOT go to Houston Automatic Transmissions, @ssholes scratched my car and when i pointed it out they tried to tell me it wasnt in their shop long enough to be scratched....

Edit: sry i kinda got off on a rant... wrong section. i've got a luk gold clutch, and its been pretty good to me so far. havent had any problems with it since i had it put in.

is this for the 84 or the 88 engine


i believe the 84 used a 10 inch pressure plate where as the 86+ used 10.5, not sure, just get a centerforce though

Its for the 88 engine, thats what i why i was concerned... i figured something was different about it.

So i should buy the 10.5 or whatever the other size is correct?
