Default Fuel filler neck

My buddy's 95 GT like mine has had this leak as long as hes had it. If he fills past 3/4 tank, fuel spills out of the pass side of tank. I looked closely and it appears to be right where the neck meets the tank. Easy fix or what

Default RE: Fuel filler neck

It is not hard to do. Run the fuel level down as much as you can, it will make it alot easier to drop the tank down and not make a fuel spill. You will be able to find one at the Ford dealership parts counter, they normally have them in stock. If you are doing it on the ground, use a floor jack and a 2x4 the width of the tank mid ways of the tank and take off the straps. There will be some bolts underneath by the fueltank around the fillerneck that go into the body of the car. Take those out and slowly drop the tank, only drop it a little at a time you won't have to drop it all the way. Wiggle the filler tube out of the tank. It will take a little finness to get it out. Pull out the old seal. Do everything in reverse to reinstall. R/R complete. You may have to take screws out where the gas cap is, I did it without removing them.
