'88 Tming Chain Cover & Water Pump Bolts
Hi there,
If I could search, I would probably find the answer but hopefully someone has some info or links that may help me out.
I have a 1988 5.0L that I started repairing last year. The water pump needed to be changed and of course the bolts were pretty much rusted through. After forcefully removing the pump and cover, things got a bit busy for me and I have left the repairs until now.
Now I am not sure which bolts go where. I can figure out a few of them, and the Haynes manual doesn't seem to be very informative for the V8 but it seems there are more holes than bolts and now it's been too long to remember what goes where.
Can anyone help me out with this? If you can, it would be much appreciated!
Mike

the ones with double studs are gonna go where the brackets attach so having bracket handy and looking at depth / length of ones needed by process of elimination you should be able to get most back in correct spots
