Default 5.0 cam specs

i know the lift on the stock 5.0 cam is .444 on both ends, so i was wondering did they make a more aggressive cam from the factory...i know there was a .480 lift as well wasnt there?

thanks,
Rebel

i think u can get away with an one of the lettered cams, b or x would sound nice. I am running a comp cams valvetrain with 1.6 rockers. .575 ex - .565 intake. dual springs, full fulcum roller rockers, hydraulic roller lifters, and heavy duty comp cam push rods.

being that im doing a junkyard and budget build im trying not to go into the aftermarket prices....does anyone know if the stock 351w cam is any more aggressive than the cobra, or if its close.

so far i will be porting my E7TE heads (on my own) Bowl work (also me) small block chevy valves (cheap as ****) 1.7 rockers (one of the very few after market pieces) i've got the torquer II and a 650 edlebrock.

So there is a stock cam that is agressive stock in the 302/351?

I believe that there was a bit more duration in the 1989-1993(non cobra) roller H.O. cams. The two links below show some of the differences in stock pieces between years. I am not 100% if it is 100% correct though I have not found anything more authorative... good luck
