im guessing my pawl had NEVER been taken off ever!

the spring looped through the left side of the pawl so despite my efforts to "slide" it off the spring was still holding it on, very tightly.

i had to break the part where the spring goes through and it popped right off

keep in mind, i did this from inside the engine compartment, through the 1" hole.. not alot of room to work with..

edit: turns out summit didnt f* me over lol. i found the adjuster this morning and had to take the cable back out and re-route it. the adjuster makes the cable VERY tight.. almost no play in the pedal at all. it grabs about 1-3/4" off the floor and is very firm.

anyway.. summit will be sending me another firewall adjuster so whoever needs/wants one can have it if they pay shipping. will be here monday lol
