Default Gear drive or chain

im putting the engine back together for my 94 gt just wondering if there are any advantages to the gear drive timing over a decent double roller chain. The parts arent an isssue i have both sets. It has gt40p heads a motorsport f cam trick flow track heat intake and a vortec s trim

thanks for the input Jeff

The gear drives are supposed to be more resiliant to wear and stretching. Plus they sound cool. I dont really know of any disadvantages of a gear drive, except maybe the sound too loud..maybe someone else does.

Not all but some gear drives you can easily adjust the cam timing. This kind of stuff is priceless for tuners.
