Default JUST PURCHASED

well, i just bought a 1982 5.0 foxbody with 67k. It needs some work (ebrake, swaybar link, weatehr striping, ect.) but im excited to get into it. my only question is where can i get parts for it? ive only seen years for parts go as low as 83. im basically just looking for performance mods, if there are any? also the upper left mount in the wheel well is rusted, as well as the floor boards, what should i do for that? can i replace the floor boards? if so, how?

ill have pics up this week[8D]

The best investment you can make is some bondo, a spot welder, a grinder, a sander, and some sheetmetal. Grind out that rust, spot weld on some properly sized pieces of sheetmetal from the inside of the affected area if possible, and cover with bondo. Then sand down. Cover with rust inhibitor and primer. The floor boards are just going to need slightly larger pieces. What do you mean by mount in the inner fender, I hope you dont mean the strut mount. THAT would be a pain in the butt. I would most likely take this whole car to a body shop to ask them their professional opinion on what they think, most likely some work will have to be done professionally. I would find a buddy to do some of it, find some connections, because it sounds like you go morethan you bargained for. Good luck!
