Default Valve Covers for TF TW?

I found a whole bunch of valve covers that are "Tall" on summit... will all of those fit over the TF TW heads? Also i saw a select few that said needs intake manifold spacer to clear throttle body, is that required for all tall valve covers? And are the baffled that muhc more benneficial?

One other question... i was looking at cams and a "suggested part" was Chromemoly pushrods. I was thinking about getting a cam soon after the heads anyway but if buying them at the same time saves me from having to measure pushrods and order them seperate i may just save a bit more money and buy them together. Are the length of the pushrods dependant on the cam/head combo?

oh and which cam is better?

Pushrods:

Thanks sorry for all the questions.

Any of the the tall valve covers will clear but you will need a 1" spacer to clear the TB with those covers. On our heads you can use a short cover as long as they do not have the baffles in them. With a short cover you will not need a spacer.

To answer you pushrod question, we recommend that you measure for your pushrod length. Normally on a stock motor the pushrod length will either be 6.700-6.750" in length depending on the deck surface.

Okay thank you that is very helpful for the valve covers.

I will still have to measure the pushrods even if i am using a trick flow cam, head, and intake?

also, what benefit does the baffle have?

i am using trickflow short valve covers on my twisted wedge heads no problems and no spacer needed.

and as far as the cam i am running the stage 2 cam which is the second one of the 2 u listed and i ended up using 6.700 trickflow chromeoly pushrods for my setup with crane 1.6 roller rockers.

the stage 2 cam has a quite lumpy idle and after about 2800-3000 it really kicks in and pulls like a mother...i like so far as i still need to get my car tuned so i can drive it around town a little easier..

you dont need to have it tuned to run really well, I have a larger cam than the stage 2 and it ran fine before I added a bunch of fuel to it on the dyno to get the air fuel in check

any valve cover will work, you only need talls to clear 1.7 ratio rocker arms, which can also be done by removing the baffles and mounts...

my shorts hit my throttle cable bracket......
