tranny swap

I just took an old FOMOCO cruise o matic tranny outta my mustang. Dont ask why it was on there. And now I have a c4 to put in it and the yoke that slides out of the tranny and connects to the drive shaft on the cruis o matic is smaller than what it is on the c4 making it delay my tranny swap my question is, Is this right or was I sold a C6?

got a pic of the trans? chances are the shaftyoke was changed to fit the other one in there.

no i dont have a pic.. the bell housing and everything is all the same so im assuming c4 but the yoke was changed.. wit the c4 will my car go faster?
