not really, if you put heads and intake on it, anything more than 8psi and u might split that block...n/a form you can make 400rwhp, about 50 more hp and thats the limit.

Need a lot more details than that to make an informed decision.

Look at it this way, from what I understand a stock block can handle 500hp, dunno if true but, I wouldnt wanna find out with that combo, that could easily make some nasty power. But if you have the money you better go the safe route and buy good block.

well look at it this way, a simple bolt on 331 can make 300rwhp right?
thats a better flowing intake and heads, you can even leave the stock cam for boost, it wont take alot to make alot of power, even a 302 with tf heads and ported cobra upper and lower can make 382rwhp at 4800 rpms and the spark blowing out, not sure exact boost at that rpm, its centi charger, max boost about 12-13 and a 4r70w...my buddy did it.

they had a guy on here quite some time ago, took the stock block to 800hp, it held the power for a little while, but did let go. it took many many $ of precise machine work to make it last that long.

ive seen stock blocks break at 400hp and some into the 650 range last its all about the machine work along with the tune. The tune is the real important part with a blower because if you get detnation then that will kill a block at any level. It's very easy to make a 302 or a 331 make sick horsepower with a blower set up. I have a gt40 crate engine [before they started using the boss blocks for the crate motors ], it has the gt40 heads untouched a tfs street heat intake, the b-cam and a v-1 s-trim with 14#'s with cast internals and its making 474.8 hp and thats with out any type of intercooler or meth injection and it will drive like a stock car all day and it gets nasty if when ever i want. I have had no problem with this motor at all beside breaking the trans and shelling the rear end from the HP . So again as everyone is saying its all luck so get a good conserative tune and try to keep it under 500 rwhp. Hope it lasts
