car sputtering when giving gas
#12
I'd do a tune up every 10-15,000 miles personally. It includes a new air filter, clean the mass air flow sensor, change the spark plugs and wires, a new cap n' rotor, change the fuel filter and an oil change( every 3,000 miles). If your car is stock you can bump up your timing from 10 degrees to 12-14 degrees, remove the air silencer in the fender and plug in a K&N filter for a few more hp and only a couple of $.

Had the same problem for a few months and just fixed it a few weeks ago...I had bad coils (replaced those) and I changed the fuel pump. The car stopped sputtering and hesitating. The car wasn't getting good spark and that caused all sorts of issues.
