Default Radiator Problems

i have a 93 cobra radiator in my 88Lx and every time i check the coolant in the rad. its always going down and its only a single row and it has a flex lite fan. so i don't know. would switching to a aluminum be better??

is it in the oil? if not,check all the clamps. even when warm

i havent noticed any leaks or anything but when i drive the temp goes all the way to 240* but it drives fine and has plenty of power. but i will check tomorrow morning and let u guys know.

where do you have the temp. gauge installed into. and are you sure its a good gauge?

or go to autozone/checkers/advance. any of them and get the temp gauge thats in the rad. cap and youll deff knnow then.

check your t-stat or explain to use better how long does it take to overheat and or does it do it sitting still too??

the gauge is the stock one from inside the car and i'm not sure if its working right. i will go to autozone tomorrow morning and get the temp in the rad cap i was also thinking of getting the pillar pod also for my temp and oil.

it takes about a little over 5 mins to hit the 240mark because i take the freeway to work and that's when it happens most of the time but the thing is i live 2 miles from my work.

buy or borrow a radiator pressure tester, pump it up to 14 or 15 and let it sit, you will hear leaks...
