lol im thinking loc tite. I kinda thought that the rocker girdles were supposed to prevent this kind of problem...

i thought rocker girdles just add strength to the rockers and valvetrain. i dont know about putting loctite inside of a motor. id just call the company

loctite will be fine on the polyloc, although never had to do such

i dont think that the rockers are the problem i think its the special bolts that were needed to use the rocker girdles and im assuming they came with it but since i didnt put them on and there are no numbers or names on it whatsoever i have no idea who i would call. Think im going to try the loc tite though see what happens

this right here is why you are having problems... you are doing it wrong


remove the allen headed poly lock completely out of the adjuster nut. turn the (5/8 on mine) adjuster nut until you reach 0 lash, then give it an additional 1/4-1/2 turn. now screw the allen head poly lock down into the adjuster, and lock it down. remember... DO NOT LET the adjuster nut turn any further.


it sounds like you are doing it backwards

adder thats the was i started doing it and they were coming loose so i figured the poly lock would saty better if i got o lash then tightened the poly lock then did the quarter turn it would stay tighter but it didnt. So i went back to the way you said and used some lock tite and tightened the girldes as much as i could, been 2 days now and no noise so we will see...
