Default exhaust manifold

what happens if i dont get all the bolts in the exhaust manifolds to go in?

you will have exhaust leaks.
get the front and rear bolts started first, then work your way to the inside ones, don't tighten them till you have them all in

it doesnt work... one of the driver side ones goes in at a really bad angle and only at an angle

Try to do it without the header in. Inspect the threads to see if something is screwed up. But Iron heads are hard to screw up so just take your time and put some straight force on the bolt to see if it will go in straight.

Do you still have the h pipe in place? I had that problem, someone here told me I could install the new headers without removing the h-pipe. I had the same problem you are having. I disconnected the mufflers and moved the pipe back a inch or two and it all worked out fine

If its hooked to the H or X pipe unbolt it then bolt the header to the heads. Do yourself a favor and get yourself some locking header bolts.

Out of curiosity what headers are you attempting to install?
