3:73' and flowmasters are great for 1/4 mile. Improvement in the 1/4 depends how you drive. Why do you prefer no nitrous? Dont be a clam. You want to go fast use the bottle.

I'd rather have something that's not going to run out/need to be refilled, etc. I would like to be able to beat most cars around w/o spraying. Does it adversly affect the engine if used fairly often? My knowledge level in domestics is incredibly low..I know a little about my car, but Japanese cars seem to be hated around here.

On another note, I saw a 94-97 Cobra a few minutes ago...I need a better job so I can afford one.

Nitrous is just like any other form of F/I. It'll put the same wear and tear on the motor when it's used.

BUT, since you don't use it all the time, your motor, in theory (and generally in practice) will last longer.

Refilling a bottle everynow and then, for the price savings you get, I wouldn't mind. If you think the bottle's cheating, then ditch the supercharger or turbo you have in mind. They're all forms of F/I, and if you're against one, you're against all.

Anyone who thinks a power adder is cheating should kill themselves. If it makes power how can it be bad????

It's not the power that's bad, it's the cheating. Like it's cheating when ricer stickers add power, but domestic one's don't. That pisses me off<img border="0" src= smileys/smiley7.gif>

Dude looyd whats with you and nitrous? I mean sure its great for the money.... but refilling your bottle must brreak you on your weekly pay, and you can't even spray that much on a stock motor so why not suggest people build a stronger engien before nitrous????? Just answering everyone's questions with 'GET NITROUS!' is annoying dude. LOL someone's gonna blow their motor up from nitrous one day and look around for the guy who was in Dumb and Dumber on the mustangforums.com postboard, with revenge in mind. I plan on spraying a 175-200 shot ont he new 347 I got coming though What do you run just out of curiousity lloyd??

Do you even have any clue how much it costs to fill up a nitrous tank? $30 around here for a 15 pound bottle.

You can spray nitrous on a stock motor. You need to sit there and look up some stuff.

A. Don't spray below 2500 RPM

B. Don't hit your rev limiter while spraying

C. Spray @ WOT

D. Spray when the engine can easily rev

E. Don't get greedy.

You'll be fine if you follow those basic rules and use some common sense.

lloyd is correct in his answer. People are asking what's the best thing for the buck, and damnit, he's telling them. You don't like that, well, sorry, it's the truth.

When the people in this forum (im not knocking anyone here, I work just as hard as the rest of you for my money) ask what they can do to make their car faster for cheap money you have to tell them to use gears and nitrous. When someone is talking about saving up to buy an intake, there's agood chance that they cant afford a turbo or a supercharger. You can spray NOS (pronounced EN-OH-ESS by they way just incase you guys thought I was saying it like the **** in that pathetic import racing movie) on a stock, mild or wild motor and have a good time. you just have to be reasonable with it. And anyone who uses NOS because I told them to is free to ask me whatever they want about it so they dont blow their motor up and have to come looking for me! LOL.

By the way on a stock bottom end I shot 150 MAX.
