hey guys how hard is it to replace syncros in a trans? im pretty mechanicly inclined tho i have never tore one apart b4 ...im thinkin its not to hard to do with the right tools....any input is appriciated.
tranny must be disassembles and gear hubs removed from main shaft, remember the syncro hubs are part of each gear assembley, first what issue are you having???

sorry i was off the boards for a while, but i was driving to work last week and everything was cool until i passed a road......stopped, put it in reverse ....backed up put it in first ....took off went to switch to second and "GRIIIIIND" !!! now it grinds going into second unless you hold the stick half way into the gear for a while then it will finally slow it down enuf to go into gear with out grinding... relly weird...no symptoms b4 this happened...
either the fricton material on the blocker ring for the second gear sincro hub is worn out or the teeth on the second gear sincro hub are all torn up/mushroomed flat, also make sure the tranny is full of fluid
