paxton sn-93

don't even waste your time! ..my buddies never ran good with them ...Buy a Powerdyne and you'll have some fun in about 2 hours! I ran 11.96@114.5 with Stock heads, Cam & Cobra intake, 3.55's with a 9# Powerdyne on a 1991 GT

Personally I would stay far away from a Powerdyne. Check up some info about them and you'll see why they are so cheap. Although I have no experience with the Paxton I know the SN-93 is meant for relatively low boost and on a pretty stock motor. Still more reliable than Powerdyne. Check out some used Vortech's, you can ge them pretty cheap.

Sounds like they're overing spinning the blower (Powerdyne)...I would not run over 9 psi with one, But trust me they work, I ran 11.23 @ 122 with Edelbrock heads and stock cam, Cobra intake & 3.55's...9 psi unit!
I then switched to a Vortech T-trim to run in the 10's

Hey don't down talk the Paxton SN's. They are great units. Yes old technology but reliable if treated properly and not overspun. I have one on my '86 GT. The advantage they have over most other centrifugal supercharges is higher boost at lower rpm's. In other words more streetable. Also they also have their self contained fluid (no tapping into oil pans).
I have not taken my car to the strip but it is a fact that these units typically put bone stock Mustangs in the mid to high 12's in the 1/4. Also, on the street my car has shown to put away cars that quarter in the low 13's fairly easily.

With Powerdyne it is a hit or miss. Some people are happy while others don't get so lucky. I thought about getting one but got a used Vortech instead and am glad I did: 0 problems. Powerdynes are mild street chargers and nothing more. Tim you must have been one of those lucky ones, considering the 9lb pulley usually overspins them.
