Is there a kind of carburated intake that will run an 85 302 an pass smog? ive droped an 85 302 into an 89 and want to smog it the engine came with an intake for 1966-1972 because engine was rebuilt & originally intended for a 66 mustang but now it's in an 89GT and my stock89 efi doesntwork so does anyone know what kind of 85 intake do i need to run the engine carburated and smogable - how much should i expect to spend"?

you need the performer 302 with egr plate but then again you'd also need all the vsv valves that control egr operation and all smog equipment and in short a harness that is applicable for an 85 302 to make all operational, smog pump isn't necessary to pass emissions but an egr valve will be

or if you can find an 85 intake that'd work too..........what are you trying to do??? does your state have a visual inspection or just a tail pipe test you are trying to pass
