emission equip. on 94

got a question, on my 94 under passenger side fender, above the inner fender..is the piece i have in the attachment...its got all the lines that used to attach to smog stuff but thats gone as well as egr...i was wondering if i can just unhook the two connectors and remove this since i dont think it would be doing anything beings as its got all the lines plugged anyway..
