Default Clunk...Son of a......

Alright guys, i think i may have asked this before but here it goes.....I got in my car a little while ago to make a midnight run to Taco Hell in this nasty rainy cold weather. I pulled out of my apartment like normal and when I went to second gear the car kinda hesitated and jumped and I heard a loud clunk type of noise that sounded like it came from the back of the car. What could this be? Bad suspension components? Rear end trying to tell me to get rid of the 2.73's even though I have no money? Any help would be great!

Ya id say either your gears could be striped, your tarnnys going out or maybe it was just the weather making it act up. Has it did it at all since then?

You sure you have a lsd rear?

If so it could have just been the diff clunking - my Subaru will give a clunk now and again if you spin the tires and then catch some traction.

Check to make sure that sway bar is intact on both sides.Mustang stock bars are bad and ofent break for no good reason.

Grip the rear sway bar at the ends and see if it is broken. Sometimes it may not appear broken but infact is.
