The transmission started slipping, so I had a new transmission put in.....but I don't think the guy knows Mustangs and I've been back about 5 times now for him to make adjustments. It's still clunking from first to second and I don't have the power I used to. The code that was coming up was 'excessive converter clutch slippage'. Today I found the original owner. He told me that a year before I bought the car he was having the same trouble and had a new transmittion installed and the converter clutch fixed.....now three years later and another new transmittion, I'm having the same problem. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Then, awhile ago, the check engine light came on. I got a new computer, but still the same codes. I checked the codes and I get the following numbers. How tied into each other do you think all of this is.....because I seem to be going round and round. One thing sends the computer into default and then I'm not sure if it effects the transmittion or not. I've tried it with and without the chip.

I'd love to keep this beauty, but I might have to trade it in for a new one if I can't figure this out relatively cheaply. If you'd like to help email me at richard@atvpro.com
