I've seen the 3" exhaust is for more like 600+ HP. n/a 347s don't make enough power to make use of 1 3/4 headers and 3" exhaust.

n/a engines DO need back pressure, that's nothing new.

Uhhh ya. So why don't you just put a 6" exhaust on in while you are at it. A good performing exhaust is a combination of low back pressure and high velocity. To much velocity equals to much back pressure and to little back pressure equals to little velocity.

obviously you want larger than 2 1/4" exhaust, but you wasted your money going with a 3" setup.

I think the 1 3/4" are fine and but I would seriously get rid of the 3" exhaust.
