Default Question about IAC.

Where exactly is the IAC sensor located and whats the best approach to cleaning it? Im having a lean misfire when its cold and im trying to figure this out.

I doubt the Iac is causing the misfire.....could be carbon build up ...remeber carbon act as a sponge and will absorb a/f and cause a lean misfire on start up, good seafoam treatment can cure this, also try cleaning the maf

I've tried the seafoam treatment via the gas tank. Whats the other way of using it exactly?

read the can..all the gas tank way does is clean the cumbustion chambers , excluding the intake....it generally goes in the brake booster...full instructions are on the can

Or search for a vacuum leak..Lean pop through the intake,erratic idle...Could possibly be the problem.

Just did the seafoam through the brake booster, smoked a decent amount. Still misfires. How often can i do the seafoam treatment?

have you done a koer/cylinder balance test to see which cylinder is misfiring???

I've done the Koeo test, looking to do a compression test sooner or later. I'll do the koer test soon. Whats the cylinder balance test?
