what year diesel ranger has the pilot bearing to use a 2.3l t5 with a 5.0??

why dont you just change the input shaft from your 5.0 tranny to your 4 cyl tranny and use the right mustang 5.0 pilot bearing i think i might be confused on this thread

some people say that they dont interchange, 4cyl modified track guys say they do.
Hell, I dont know, but I just went and bought the pilot bearing for the ranger ($6.99 @ autozone) and Ill source the bellhousing and slap it together. Being able to spend 7 bucks + bellhousing is a heck of alot cheaper than $500 for a t5 I dont know the history of.

But, the throwout bearing will be the 5.0, or 2.3?
