why is everyone sayin get a tune? if all you are getting is a intake there is no need for a tune.

Everyone is going to like something different, but the best bang for your buck is going to be a gt40 swap. I picked up heads, upper, and lower out of a 96 explorer for $450. Of course you are going to have to put a little more money into the heads but at least you will have them to put in when you get them done. You can even do some port and polish if your feeling brave. It is really not that hard if you take your time. With the gt40 swap (heads,upper,lower) you will see a nice little hp gain. You can then go with numerous cams. I agree with FivePointohh you don't need to tune your car if you are just replacing the upper and lower. Your computer has enough flexiblity to adjust. You can tune it and see little gains but not worth the money until you go further with your mods.
