Windsor JR 180cc heads...

Yes they are worth considering especially at that price. World Products builds some good Iron heads and if you don't mind a few extra pounds it's an excellant choice for a street car. Keep the compression ratio at a max of 10.25-1 and you will be good to go. If you plan on putting mega miles on your engine it's the right choice. The castings have plenty of meat in them if you ever decide to give them a porting. They cool at about the same rate as the block so you won't be spitting head gaskets as often as aluminum. It's a good head period.

Tell me about the car. Rear gear ratio, transmission, (stall if automatic) if you intend to keep the power brakes, carbed of Fuel injected what kind of idle you want and is the bottom end of your engine stock or modified and the year of the block

i have those on my car as well. the 180's to me are well worth the price. so for 630.00, is that brand new or used? i know i bought mine new and they were around 460 to 470 apiece assembled, brand new. so just wondering. on my car, the bottom end has forged internals except for the crank that is, and im running a B303 cam, and a Cobra Intake. my tranny is an auto. but its been built, with a valve body and a 2800 stahl, and the rear is packed with 4.10's. with long tube headers, an x-pipe, and some good mufflers, your car will be a hell of a street car. dont expect it to be the meanest one out there, but it will carry it respect on its sleeve. you can believe that!!! good luck.

My question is do they weigh more than the stock iron heads? If not I can't see it really being that big a deal, aluminum heads save you what, 25-30 lbs a head? You're better off ditching the A/C and smog equipment.

The windsor juniors I purchased were not good and world would not stand behind them, I wound up offloading them at a loss. When I say not good I mean the machine work was lousy, the incorrect valves were used and the springs I specified were not used. Isent them to a porter who did not want to work on them as to make them right would cost more then the heads did. I won't buy another world product anytime soon but maybe you will have better luck?
