I think I have three of the common timing covers in my shed, picked them up a while ago and blasted them but have not messed with them since, with dipstick, without dipstick, and with mech fuel pump slot.

Whatever cover you get, lay a straight edge against it and make sure it is flat, last new one I got was machined poorly.

do you know what years they are fomr and what water pump the use?

I could easily be wrong but I thought they would accept any standard 302 water pump, as for vintages I think the dipstick one and the mechanical fuel pump one are from early 70s, non dipstick is 80s. I went and looked and I actually have 5 of the covers in my shed, tomorrow I'll take a closer look when it is light outside.

I need a dipstick one, I have a 5.0 out of a 95 putting in a 61 fairlane and had to do front sump pan
